“The voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” —Marcel Proust
“Love is the dynamism that most infallibly brings the unconscious to light.” —C. G. Jung

I am a Jungian analyst and licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice in Marin County and San Francisco.

I specialize in the practice of depth psychotherapy with individuals and couples who experience:

I also lecture and offer workshops to mental health professionals and the public on the relationship between spirituality and depth psychology.

Contemporary Jungian and psychoanalytic perspectives are the basis of my work. My experience as healer and teacher has given me a rich understanding of the forces of the unconscious mind and its influence, for good and for ill, on all aspects of our daily life.

My personal life is rooted in the conviction that a spiritual reality, which Jung called the Self, exists at the core of every human being. Psychological problems naturally begin to resolve as we realize ever more deeply the various aspects and qualities of our essential Self. My 40 years of practice with esoteric, Buddhist, and Sufi teachers, in addition to my own Jungian analysis, have brought me to this conviction.

I am a member of the C. G. Jung Institute of San Francisco, the International Association for Analytical Psychology, the International Association for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology, and Imago International, a professional association for Imago Relationship Therapy.
